Udey dan Kukubesi

Hari ni aku telah melapangkan diri untuk menghadiri kursus editing yang diajar oleh Kukubesi..Kursus start dari kol 9.00 pagi - 1.00 petang.. Memang sangat berbaloi la menghadiri kursus ni.. berbaloi dari segi harga (cuma MYR99 >> normal MYR250).. Lag pulak, modul yang diajar standard modul intermediate Kukubesi.. Which is SOOOOO WORTH IT!!! Dalam event tu jugakada ramai fotografer ternama akan datang untuk bagi talk. Tapi dorang akan datang esok la (ahad 22/05/2011).. tapi esok aku akan ke sekolah lain untuk belajar fotografi..

Kukubesi mengajar dengan cara yang fun dan really want the students to understand everything he teaches..Setiap soalan yang ditanya akan dijawab sampai faham.. Bagus! thumbs up..!! In the end, aku banyak belajar menda baru dalam editing Kukubesi style!

Sambil jalan2 kat booth-booth yang ada, terjumpa pulak booth Udey Ismail.. One of my favorite wedding photographer.. dia menjual buku nya "a picture worth thousand words".. normal price MYR100 tapi dia jual MYR80.. Aku beli satu dan mintak Udey tandatangan.. lagi pulak, bersembang dengan Udey, tanya pasal karier dia.. dan life dia.. Next year Udey nak kawen katanya, tapi taktau la bile.. dan taktau la sape yang shoot dia wedding.. Aku tanya "boleh tak nak tag-along dengan Udey".. tapi Udey kata dia tak buat camtu, ape yang dia boleh bagi ialah, dia dan Mukhriz akan buat TT dan discuss tentang fotografi as a businessman and photographer.. looking forward for that.. So, Udey amek necessary details untuk contact for the TT..

Berjumpa jugak dengan Alif dan Fixell.. sembang2 sampai ke malam.. pasal fotografi dan videografi.. KameraMin, Passionphoto dan Chateau Vids akan berkolaborasi sekali lagi untuk projek video.. maybe dalam 1-2 bulan ni la.. Can't wait for it..

Hari ini penat, tapi dapat banyak input untuk bawa KameraMin ke tahap yang lebih tinggi.. yeah!!

ADUN Kota Anggerik, Dewan Selangor

It has been a long time since the last time I am blogging about myself. And no, I am not an ADUN for sure. This photo was taken during a photo shoot assignment at the Dewan Selangor Opening Ceremony 2011. It is an exciting experience for me to have this opportunity. Having the chance to 'meet' the sultan and ADUN are simpy an amazing experience.

I went there the day before the event, to recce the area and also to study the flow of the event. Most importantly, being there a day early will give me the chance to feel comfort with the surrounding areas. Last but not least, event that consist formality and royal highness involve protocol and it is so tightly monitored. Becoming professional is not as easy as it seem. You will have two things in your mind, the first one is to be at the right angle to get the best shots. Secondly, to obey the protocol and not to break it at all.

It was an exciting time for and good portfolio.

Aku suke kamera yang berat, walopon sakit tangan lepas dah seharian memegang kamera, tapi aku suke berat sebab firm bile nak stay still, masa guna D3000  (beginner / entry level DSLR) dulu rasa ringan sangat. lepas tu gune semi-pro level  DLSR..

Aku suke kamera aku attach dengan Battery Grip, selain boleh tambah extra satu lagi bateri dan tambah 2x shooting time. Aku suka ada bateri grip attached sebab rasa berat lagi kamera, dan ada tambahan vertical shutter untuk mudah lagi amek gambar potret. Plus, nampak ala-ala high-end punye body

Aku suke fotografi wedding sebab wedding best! Lengkap dan mencabar. Dalam wedding photography ada emosi, ada banyak mimik muka (hepi, ketawa, baby nangis), ada moment (menda ni la yang paling susah dan mencabar dalam wedding photography) pastu ada portraiture jugak dan paling aku suka ada outdoor. So, basically wedding photographer kena mahir banyak menda la, indoor photoraphy, portraiture dan outdoor photography.

kalo nak tambah kualiti foto, kena master lighting jugak.. on flash lighting, off camera flash, studio flash dan macam-macam lagi la berkaitan pencahayaan dalam fotografi

Aku tak suke komen gambar orang, even orang tu suruh aku komen pon. Sebab aku komen ikhlas, nanti orang ingat aku komen sebab gambar aku dah power. Padahal gambar aku hampes je.. kui kui kui. sebab tu tak suke komen, unless kalo sesape yang nak jadik KameraMin Krew. Memang aku tenyeh abis-abis, dan dia pon mesti boleh tenyeh aku habis-habis. Sebab aku masih belajar lagi nak amek gambar superb cun!

Lagi rasa riak dan takbur bila dipuji berlebihan.. Kui kui kui.. puas hati la berpenat lelah tunggang terbalik time shooting bile client suke..

tengah mengarah subjek untuk posing2.. Datang makhluk Allah..

Nikon launches it officially but not in Malaysia's market yet.. When this model arrive at local stores, for sure the d90 and d300s prices will drop.. :) this model falls in semi-pro level DSLR a higher level over beginner / entry level DSLR

D7000 is the answers of rumors of D95 .D7000 is - an upgrade option for D90 and D5000 users, which occupies a new position in Nikon's DSLR lineup, between the D90 and D300S.

D7000 is a close match for the D90, its overall magnesium alloy body shell and thicker rubber coating on the hand grip and rear of the camera. In terms of its specification, the D7000 actually outguns the D300S in

Tips to buy DSLR

TIPS 1

Study and do a very detail research about various brands DSLR.

There are numbers of DSLR brands like Nikon, Canon, Sony, Pentax, Hassleblad, Mamiya, Yashica, Sigma, Olympus, Samsung, Panasonic, Minolta and more. Make sure you buy what you need. Example : you are using the DSLR to take photos, why bother so much to buy DSLR with video recorder?

TIPS 2

Compare all type of brands you can find.

Price - Cheapest and most valuable for your money

Warranty - how long the warranty last? Local warranty - you can claim at local service center (take less time than international waranty to repair or service). international warranty - you have to wait for shipping process, the DSLR will be ship back to its original service center in other country

Functionality - between all the brands and models of DSLR you find. Compare which one have the best function, easy to use and suit your style.

TIPS 3

Don't fall for Megapixels

Normally when you go at any shop, they will try to seduce you with megapixels trick. 

Seller "this brand is good, got 18MP.. that one only have 12MP"

Buyer "ooo.. i buy that 18MP"

Bear in mind that beautiful photo are not related to MP of DSLR. Average DSLR user will just print the photo only on 4R size which equal to 3MP. Why do you need a very big MP if you just want to print on small size 4R?

TIPS 4

Ask for more

Normally, shopkeepers will sell the DSLR body + kit lens only, when you purchase. Actually, everytime they buy DSLR stocks from distributor, it is a very standard procedure that DSLR body + kit lens come with tripod + at least 4GB memory card + bag.. They will tell you to buy these items and add some more money into it. Be careful with this type of seller. When you buy DSLR, please ask for freebies that actually is free, not buy them cheaper.. free..

Always ask for bag + tripod + lens cleaner + memory card + lens filter..

TIPS 5

Bring someone who is experienced with buying

For a first time DSLR buyer, the idea of bringing along someone who have experiences buying DSLR might be a very brilliant idea. That person should at least know what to expect from the seller and would also give you advices and guidance during your trade. after asuccessful trade, we should treat him/her to a coffee.

What is Shutter?
Shutter is the element in the DSLR that is use as a window. Once the shutter release is pressed. The shutter will mechanically open to allow light pass it and touches the Image sensor.
The amount of time for the shutter to open can be control.


What is Viewfinder?
View finder or eyepiece is a small window which allow the photographer to look into it. By looking into the viewfinder, the photographer can actually see what the DSLR will capture before the photorapher press the shutter  release.
